El Paso’s original and largest beer festival, Sun City Craft Beer Festival, returns on Saturday, April 21 from 1 pm to 8 pm and Sunday, April 22, from 12 pm to 6 pm at the Convention Center Plaza in downtown.

More than 150 craft beers, fruit beers, and ciders from local and national breweries and cideries will be on hand for guests to sample. The festival is open to everyone ages 21 and over.

Participating local breweries include El Paso Brewing Company, Ode Brewing Company, and Blazing Tree Brewery, as well as El Paso’s newest craft beer hub, Aurellia’s Bottle Shop & Brewhouse, which will be opening its doors in 2018.

Over 50 regional and national breweries are taking part in the festival this year including nine new breweries from around the United States. Texas breweries and cideries include Community Brewing Co. and Deep Ellum Brewing Co. from Dallas, Karbach Brewing Co. from Houston, and Austin East Ciders from Austin among others.


Top National breweries include Sixpoint Brewery (New York), Great Divide Brewing Co. (Montana), Alaskan Brewing Company (Alaska), Elysian Brewing Co. (Washington), Lagunitas Brewing Co. (California), Ace Cider (California) Peaks Brewing Co. (Arizona), Marble Brewing (New Mexico), all the way from Belgium, Lindemans Brewery, and more.

General Admission tickets include entrance into the festival, ten 2-ounce beer samples selected from any of the more than 150 brews, a commemorative festival beer glass (while supplies last) and plenty of free entertainment including: Dave and Buster’s Game Zone, a silent disco, live local bands, a DJ Booth, and fun photo opportunities. Guests can also play “Beer Bingo” or learn how to brew by watching live demonstrations and mingling with professional brewers on site. 

The V.I.P. Experience ticket offers all the benefits of General Admission with even more perks including a specialty V.I.P. beer glass, one-hour early access to the festival, an edible pretzel necklace, plus the perks inside the private V.I.P. lounge such as a free session at the V.I.P. Oxygen Bar, a catered meal, hosted beers, and shaded seating areas.

The DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton, located downtown within walking distance of the festival, is offering a special rate for Sun City Craft Beer Festival guests for only $90 per night while rooms are available.

Prices will go up after Wednesday, April 4 to $30 1-day and $50 2-day.

1-Day V.I.P. Ticket: $80  (limited quantity) Saturday V.I.PTicket and the Sunday V.I.P. Ticket include all items of the G.A. ticket plus access to V.I.P benefits on the select day purchased, including hosted V.I.P. exclusive craft beers and a catered meal in the V.I.P. Lounge.

1-Day Designated Driver: $10 – (limited quantity) Designated Driver Ticket includes access to the festival on Saturday or Sunday and access to free event features such as Game Zone, brew lessons, and more. Festival producers proudly support Designated Drivers who offer their friends a safe ride home (ages 21 + only).

Military Discount: $5.00 OFF – Ticketholders who receive the discount must show valid military I.D. at the festival entrance. When purchasing tickets online, Military personnel must use code: MILITARY to activate the discount.

Admission Restriction:   Ages 21+ only.  Infants, children, and those under 21 years of age are not able to enter the festival.  Pets (excluding service dogs) are not permitted on festival grounds.

SCCBF Pre-Party: SCCBF will be hosting a free Pre-Party at El Paso Brewing Company on Thursday, April 5 from 6PM to 8PM for the public. There will be “Beer Bingo” by Hazardous Humor, festival tickets and prize giveaways, brewery tours, craft beer and food for purchase.
