Up and coming hip-hop rapper and popular audio stream star Russ has announced a concert at the El Paso County Coliseum on June 14.

The tour, titled “I See You Tour Part 1” will mark Russ’ second appearance in El Paso. The Atlanta-based artist performed in front of a sold-out crowd at Tricky Falls in October of 2016, where he even wore a UTEP Miners jersey, according to El Paso 411 Concert Records. Capacity at the County Coliseum is about three times larger than Tricky Falls.

Russ, born Russell Vitale in 1992, recorded his first song at 18, followed by several mixtapes and digital downloads. In 2016, he claimed his first hit, “What They Want,” which was recently certified double platinum. In 2017, his breakout year, Russ released his debut album, “There’s Really a Wolf,” reaching the Top 5 of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart with the gold-certified “Do It Myself,” “Me You” and “Pull the Trigger,” as well as the double-platinum “Losin Control.” The 25-year-old rising star surpassed 1.1 billion audio streams in the United States, making him one of Nielsen Music’s 30 most streamed artists of 2017. He has now reached 1.3 billion audio streams and accumulated 500 million video streams nationwide.

Russ continues to write, perform, produce and engineer all his songs himself. He recently performed to sold-out crowds across Europe, including Norway, Portugal, Spain and the U.K. His upcoming tour, produced by Live Nation, will include stops in Canada, as well as Boston, Detroit, Oklahoma City and Amarillo before taking the stage at the Coliseum.

Tickets start at $36.95, plus fees and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, at the Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online at ticketmaster.com. A ticket presale begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, although information for that was not available. Citi Private Pass also will have a special presale on Tuesday, March 27.
