People in El Paso are invited to celebrate green, gold and good luck this weekend at Ft. Bliss.
Freedom Crossing will be hosting their annual St. Paddy’s Festival on March 17 2pm-10:45pm and Sunday, March 18 2pm to 7pm. Admission is free and there will be activities for all ages including music by El Paso-based Irish groups Empyre Pipes and Drums and San Patricios. There will also be a variety of sounds from The Feel, Aces & Eights, Wildflower, Dusty Low, and Sorry About your Sister.
Several food trucks will be selling authentic Irish food, and of course, there will be plenty of green beer. There will also be free Kids Activities: face painting, balloon twisters, arts & crafts from 2pm to 9pm each day.
The event is open to the public. To enter Fort Bliss during the event, drivers must show a valid U.S. driver’s license at designated gates: Buffalo Soldier or Cassidy.The gates will be open for the public to visit without a special pass on Saturday 3pm-7pm and Sunday 2pm-5pm.
