Friday, Feb. 9 is probably one of America’s favorite food holidays of the year– it’s National Pizza Day! In El Paso, the pizza industry is booming with more than 300 registered pizza restaurants, according to public record. So where does a pizza lover go to get their fix?

1. Coco Miel
Coco Miel is a small, yet comfortable restaurant that offers unique specialty pizzas, such as the Mexican Meat Lovers, which comes with chile torreado and avocado. The Sunset pizza is another favorite. It comes with pesto, pepperoni, artichoke, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted bell peppers and garlic.

2. The Pizza Joint
The Pizza Joint is all grown up. From their original joint at Mesa near UTEP, to their expansion into downtown and West El Paso, there’s a reason why this place is so popular: the relaxed, hipster environment is the perfect spot to enjoy a slice that’s bigger than your face. The fab five is a favorite, it comes baked in spinach topped with pepperoni, jalapenos, fresh roma tomatoes, & BACON!

3. MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company
Midici brings an original Italian style experience to El Paso. They have two huge 1000 degree wood-fired ovens that cook your pizza in just 60 seconds. It’s all part of the Neapolitan process that makes your pizza absolutely delicious. You also get to see the chefs prepare your food from scratch on their assembly line-style kitchen. Favorites are The Margherita, which comes with Italian tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, parmesan, basil, extra virgin olive oil.

Ardovino’s is another local favorite known for their gourmet pizzas and excellent service. One of the reasons this place is so popular is due to their Four Seasons Pizza, which dedicates a quarter of each of the pie to a unique blend of organic deliciousness. They also have great wine!

5. House of Pizza
A family owned and operated business, House of Pizza is one of El Paso’s oldest pizza restaurants… and the tastiest, too. Just one bite and you are HOOKED. Perfectly cooked pizza, the sauce is phenomenal, cheese and toppings were fresh and cooked to perfection. They also serve hot subs and spaghetti, which are just as amazingly delicious.
