More than 150 tattoo artists and celebrities from all over the country will participate in the Star City Tattoo and Art Expo this weekend, March 2-4 at the convention center in downtown El Paso.
The event invites the public to learn about the industry, meet fellow tattoo enthusiasts, and even get tattooed themselves by several of the country’s top tattoo artists, including Master Ink’s Josh Payne and Jason Elliot, award-winning artist Brandon Albus, and world-renowned artist Angel Reynosa.
The event will also feature World Traveler and Journalist Yall Quiñones, better known as Yallzee. He is considered to be one of the worlds most recognized tattoo collectors having such artists like Paul Booth and Freddy Negrete add to his collection. Yallzee will be a guest judge in several tattoo competitions that will happen every day. Competitions include black and grey small, color small, traditional small, best of day, traditional large, portrait, patriotic, lettering, Asian, new school, neo-traditional, sleeve, Polynesian, and best of show.
Other popular attractions include The Enigma, a legendary performer who is known particularly at music festivals and tattoo conventions. His show is based on circus and tattoo culture which defines pop culture today. Cultivating audiences for over 20 years around the globe. American model Heather Moss will also be at the event. Moss became popular for her heavily tattooed look. She was named Miss United Ink in 2012 and has been featured in magazines like Ink and TATTOO. Marlo Marquise, an internationally renowned Sideshow, Cabaret, Striptease and Suspension artist will also be performing all weekend at the event.
