People in El Paso are invited for a night of stargazing, stories, and planetary viewing at Hueco Tanks on February 22.
Visitors will have a chance to learn about astrology at the historic Hueco Tanks, which provides an excellent view of the stars as it is located away from the bright city light pollution. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own binoculars and telescopes, but it’s not required. There will be no reservations for the event. Groups will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, with a maximum of 100 people allowed to participate.
If interested, people are asked to show up promptly at 6 p.m. as gates will close at that time. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and will end at 8:30 p.m. The cost is $9 per adult ages 13 and over and $7 per children ages 5-12. Everyone is reminded to bring weather appropriate clothing, water, snacks, blankets, and chairs if so desired. Hueco Tanks is located at 6900 Hueco Tanks Road No. 1, El Paso, TX 79938, just about 50 minutes from downtown.
