The Ruidoso Winter Park offers a unique escape from the busy city to a winter wonderland where visitors can hop on a tube and ride like the wind.

The park is in the middle of their season and has both real and man-made snow. Guests go for a ride on a conveyor belt to the top where they’ll slide down one of two hills; one for people up to 45″ tall and the other for everyone else. Everyone rides on their own unless you find yourself on a giant tube, which seats up to six people. Other attractions include the Kidz Korral, a mini-winter park for children, a zip line, and igloos for rent.

Rates are $10 for kids up to age 7, $20 for ages 8-17, and ages 18 and over $25 and include 3 hours of sledding or until end of the day, whichever is shorter. Ruidoso Winter Park is located at 1200 Ski Run Road, Alto, NM (use this address for GPS purposes.) For more information, visit
