Insights El Paso will have a prehistoric tour of fossilized dinosaur tracks that are located within El Paso on Sunday, January 7 at 1 p.m.

Tour guides will take you on a three-mile hike through 211 acres of fossilized dinosaur tracks and giant fossil beds from the Cretaceous Period. El Paso was once a much wetter environment. Giant fossils of several of the largest marine creatures in the world are located around El Paso and Juarez. Millennia of geological activity changed the environment, but we can still see the evidence of dinosaurs here today. The tour will last about four hours. Guests are asked to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen, as they will be hiking over moderate terrain for about three miles. Comfortable closed-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing are recommended. Spots on the tour are limited and a $15 reservation fee is required to guarantee your space.
