A sign outside of the Charcoaler hints at its re-opening.
The restaurant closed in January after fifty-five years in business. It was the first ever drive-through restaurant in El Paso and made a name for themselves thanks to their famous flame-grilled burgers that were made with fresh ground meat, served with their signature sauce, topped with pickles and onions. In June the company put their name for sale, as well as the property. The listing has since been removed.
