Music, art, lowriders, and cultural performances will be the highlight of the 13th annual Lincoln Park Day on September 24 at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The park is located under the Spaghetti Bowl and is home to more than a dozen murals that are painted on pillars. There will be a mural unveiling ceremony for a new project titled Chicano Park during the event. Other activities include live music by Frontera Bugalu and Los Chucanos, art exhibits by Gaytan Artworks and several others, and cultural performances by Matachines and Danza Azteca Omecoatl. There will also be a lowrider car show by Latin Pride.
Admission will be free and will be open to everyone. Organizers encourage guests to bring their own grills and blankets for a picnic in the park.
