Riding Master René Gasser is bringing his production of Gala of The Royal Horses to UTEP’s Don Haskins Center on November 1, 2017.
René Gasser has recreated the show for this tour, only previously seen at the famous riding schools in Vienna and Spain. The Royal Horses of Europe are some of the most celebrated in history, favored for centuries by royalty, equestrian riders. The show celebrates the tradition, athleticism and grace of these revered creatures.
Gala of The Royal Horses will feature performances to include the Lipizzaner Stallions, the Spanish Andalusian, Friesian, and the majestic Arabian breeds, as well as their recently added Quarter horse. The event is dedicated to showing off the amazing beauty and maneuvers that the horses are capable of including the stunning maneuvers once used on the battlefield now known as “The Airs Above The Ground”, as well as “Roman Riding” – where a performer stands atop a pair of horses, with one foot on each horse. “The Art of Garrocha” and a stunning “Bare Back Riding” performance.
Tickets go on sale September 22 at 10 a.m. They’re available at the UTEP Ticket Center or charge by phone at (915)747-5234. Tickets range from $25-$45, plus fees, for adults and children 12 and under, Seniors 60+ (Excluding VIP) get a $5 discount off the adult ticket price. VIP tickets will be $65 and include a meet a greet after the show.
