El Paso’s only Oktoberfest event is back this weekend at Biggs Park in Ft. Bliss.

Festivities kick off Friday, September 8 and continue through Sunday, September 10. Hours of admission will be 6pm to 12:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. A $35 ticket is required for Fri-Sat and may be purchased at eventbrite.com, Sunday will be family day with no ticket required to attend. Tickets usually sell out. Guests must be 18 and over to attend the first two days, and over 21 to drink. Tickets include an authentic German meal as well as a commemorative beer stein. Beer will not be included with ticket purchase.

There will be live entertainment by Terry Cavanagh and the Alpine Express and the German Air Force Schuhplattler Dance Group. Traditional German beer, delicious food, snacks, and souvenirs will also be available for purchase. Oktoberfest is open to Fort Bliss and the El Paso community.
