For Molotov, performing in El Paso, Texas is an annual event on their schedule these days.
The Mexican rock group has been in town almost every year since their Neon Desert performance in 2013. They’ll return to perform a free show at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center, 122 S Old Pueblo Dr on December 2 at 8:30 p.m. The group is a local favorite and always draws large crowds. It will be held outdoors this year to allow a larger audience.
Molotov is known for their mixture of playful and aggressive lyrics in Spanish and English, often politically inspired. They are best known for songs such as “”Gimme Tha Power,” “Frijolero,” and “Puto.” The group has even won four Latin Grammy Awards.
