301 Nightlife, one of El Paso’s most popular dance clubs in downtown is closing, the company announced Wednesday evening on their Facebook page.

“It is with sadness that we have to announce that 301 will be closing its doors August 1st,” the post said. “We want to thank everyone who has supported our movement over the last 4 years, YOU are greatly appreciated. ”

The dance club, located at 301 S. Ochoa opened for business in June of 2013 according to public records obtained by El Paso 411. It was formally home to The Old Plantation(OP) nightclub that closed back in October of 2012. No reason was provided and emails sent to the organization were not responded in time for publication. The Facebook page promised to continue its popular #Project301 events which featured top performing electronic artists almost every Friday night.

Their last event will be on July 28, respectfully titled One Last Dance with Pleasurekraft.
