So it’s the end of a busy work week and you’re looking to wine down

In El Paso, many restaurants and bars are converting their dance floors into lounges, complete with a full wine menu. We surveyed 400 El Pasoans on the streets and took a look at Google and Facebook reviews to bring you the top 4 places to grab a glass of wine in the city. Check them out and please remember to drink responsibly.

1. Mystic Grape Wine Bar & Suds

Mystic is so popular, it could be ranked first, second and third place on our list… But for the sake of space, we’ll leave it at one. This spot dedicates itself to wine, but they also offer bite-size snacks such as fire roasted cod and steak bites. Live music will set the tone for a perfect date night. Their wine selection is often updated. The staff is attentive and very welcoming.

2. Common Ground Beer & Wine Bar

Common Ground is another lounge that serves beer and wine. They also serve some delicious tacos and occasionally, there is a food truck outside. Inside, you’ll find a large table big enough for groups, or if you’re super friendly, you can strike up a conversation with the person sitting next to you. It’s cool! Or if you’re looking to bring a date, hang out on the couches in the back while you sip on some wine. Speaking of wine, their selection is excellent.. and if you don’t finish your bottle, they’ll seal it up so you can take it home. Thanks, guys!

3. Craft and Social

As soon as you step into this hipster joint, you’ll wonder why you haven’t been here before. They have a pretty relaxed atmosphere and another great selection of wine. Their staff is knowledgeable about the drinks that they serve. As for the kitchen, order the cheeser with chips!

4. Tabla

So I know this is a wine article, but let me just say that ALL of the food at Tabla is amazing. All of it. The selection of wines, craft brews and liquor was very good. If you don’t know what wine to get, just tell the bartender a little bit about yourself and they’ll offer some good options. Bring someone here to wine and dine, you won’t regret it.
