When we first heard about Panda Burgers we all had that same thought – ‘those poor pandas... but I wonder what they taste like.’
Well, I’m happy to report that they serve no such meat at this quirky burger joint, located at 10780 Pebble Hills Blvd. However, the name, or more importantly the unique burgers that they offer has been a driver for their success. So much that they have announced a second location all the way across town, at 7040 N. Mesa.
They’re be offering all of their favorites such as the quesadilla burger, the mac and cheese burger, or my favorite, the Panda Challenge. A one pound burger, with three slices of American cheese, two slices of grilled ham, two grilled hot dogs, one full avocado, one flour tortilla, grilled onions and a pound of fries.
There isn’t a grand opening day set, however, owners say they hope to have it ready for those hungry Westsiders within two months.
In case you haven’t noticed, the burger industry is booming in El Paso. According to public record, there are 108 restaurants that have the word “burger” in their name in El Paso — that’s a lot of burger joints.
