It was just a small white box with a red outline when it opened for business 20 years ago.
Fast forward to 2017, JR’s Bratwurst has served thousands of delicious bratwurst from that small window. But come Saturday, March 25, that small window is closing for good. The surprising announcement came Tuesday evening after the walk-up and order restaurant had been experiencing maintenance issues, according to posts on their Facebook profile.
Aside from the food, the Facebook profile has kept fans entertained with photos and a caption detailing whatever drama was going on in that parking lot.
The restaurant will be open for business Thursday 11:30am- 5:30pm, Friday and Saturday 11:30am- 6:30 pm this week. It is located at the Albertsons parking lot in northeast El Paso, 9111 Dyer St.
