El Paso's first ever doggy spray park is almost ready

Summer will never be the same again for Fido.

The city of El Paso is putting the finishing touches on its newest spray park — except this one is going to the dogs. The $2 million project includes a section for humans as well, which will have 25 spray features. The dogs will have 7.

The park will be located at Pavo Real Recreation Center, 9301 Alameda Ave in the Lower Valley. Other amenities include tons of trees, canopies and picnic tables throughout.

The city says two separate filtration systems will keep the water from mixing. The park opens early Summer 2017.
