Two of the best teams in the Western States Hockey League are set to battle this weekend at the El Paso County Coliseum Events Center, 4100 E. Paisano.
The El Paso Rhinos will take on the Long Beach Bombers in a highly anticipated Western States Hockey League(WSHL) three-game home series. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and the final game begins at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
El Paso (27-5) is just one win behind first place in the Mid-Western Division, while Long Beach (31-3) leads the Western Division. The Rhinos are looking to forward Alex Johanson, who has been stellar all season, tallying an incredible 70 points and 34 goals. The Bombers counter with forward Roman Serafimovich and his 57 points and 26 goals. The WSHL is an Amateur Athletic Union-sanctioned Tier II Junior A ice hockey league.
Ticket prices vary from $5 to $30, depending on your choice of seats. Military members receive free admission with ID.
