It’s time to pay up. That is if you’re parking downtown.
The curbs around the park were painted yellow this morning, ending months of free parking (it wasn’t really a parking spot) for those visiting the area. The city of El Paso says people were stepping on the small shrubs and bushes when exiting their vehicles. ‘No Parking’ signs were already in place, however, city council voted to paint the sidewalks in September.
Anyone found parking in the yellow zone will be issued a citation or may even have their car towed.
