UTEP Basketball Returns for 95th Season Saturday

Saturday, November 14

Downtown El Paso Artist & Farmers Market – Arts, crafts, live music, and locally grown produce at this family friendly, outdoor environment. Event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. at Union Plaza in downtown El Paso. Event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the City of El Paso.

Brew at the Zoo – Step into the wildlife and have a beer while you’re at it! Brew at Zoo is back with beer tastings, food trucks, live music and of course, the animals! Fun begins at 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the El Paso Zoo, 4001 E. Paisano. 21 and over welcome.

Concordia Cemetery Ghost Tour — Two hour walking tour around Concordia Cemetery, beginning at 9 p.m. Experience the hauntings of Concordia Cemetery and see if YOU can find activity inside El Paso’s City of the Dead. Participants reserve by calling 274-9531, $15, adults only, not for the faint of heart or easily offended.

The Book of Mormon — From the creators of South Park and winners of nine Tony Awards for Best Musical comes The Book of Mormon at the Plaza Theater. Showtimes: 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Fort Bliss

Fort Bliss Holiday Bazaar – More than 100 arts and crafts vendors from around the country at the annual Ft. Bliss Holiday Bazaar Begins at 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Trading Post on Fort Bliss Building, 1717 Marshall and Hahn. Admission: $1

German Advent Bazaar – German Christmas fair at Ft. Bliss featuring arts and crafts, German food and drinks. Fun begins at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at building 757 on Carter Rd. Free admission.

Ice Skating – Who says you can’t ice skate in El Paso? Public ice skating is available at the Sierra Providence Event Center, 4100 E. Paisano (behind coliseum.) 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Admission: $8 everyone, $6 military; includes skate rental.

El Paso Rhinos Hockey — The El Paso Rhinos host the Colorado Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. at the Sierra Providence Events Center, 4100 E. Paisano.

UTEP Basketball — The boys are back vs Loyola at the Don. Tip off is 7:05 p.m.

Amusement Parks

El Paso Zoo – Step into the wild life at the El Paso Zoo, 4001 E. Paisano. Featuring 35 acres of animals, from Lions and Giraffes in Africa, to Sea Lions in the Americas, or Orangutans and Elephants in Asia. Gates: 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission: $12 ages 13 to 59, $7.50 under, $9 for seniors.

Wyler Ariel Tramway – Hop on the cable car and take a ride up the Franklin Mountains and admire the beauty of El Paso, Juarez and Las Cruces – from 5,632 feet above sea level. It’s one of the best views in the world! View through the high power telescopes enhance the experience. Call ahead to check possible closures.
