UberESPAÑOL Arrives in El Paso

Uber está aquí!

El Paso’s only realtime mobile ride-ordering app has gone bilingual, the company has announced.

The feature is exclusive to a handful of Texas cities only, including El Paso, which makes sense since 69 percent of our population is Spanish-speaking, according to 2014 US Census Data. That’s 56 percent higher than the national average. Other cities included are Austin, Dallas and Houston, while more may be added later this year.

UberESPAÑOL Arrives in El Paso 2Users can unlock the new feature by launching the Uber app in their smartphone, opening the “promotions” section, and entering code “ESPANOLTX”. The feature will be added to the main menu. To request a ride with a Spanish speaking driver, select the “ESPAÑOL” option and request a ride.
