Former El Paso Mayor Ray Salazar and two other citizens filed a federal lawsuit yesterday against the city government to stop the demolition of City Hall. The city wants to demolish the building to make way for a Triple-A Baseball stadium.
The lawsuit is the latest of several attempts to stop the city hall demolition. Mayor Salazar(pictured below) told a group of people in August that a lawsuit would be the only way to stop the demolition. In September, the city council approved the demolition, but have yet to decide where a temporary city hall will be located.
